Individuals, groups and business donations—financial and otherwise—significantly boost the ability of the Children’s Advocacy Center to fulfill its mission. These contributions—along with special event proceeds and grants—drive the scope, quality and relevance of the Center beyond what might be possible with the federal, state and local government funding.
Your donation of time and talent is of incalculable worth to the Center. Your engagement as a volunteer enables the Center to stretch its manpower and optimize program offerings. Event volunteer opportunities are also available. The gift of your time and talent keeps the Center connected to our community, and provides passion, fresh insights, and inspiration to the work we do.
Your donations of cash and goods, such as quilts and toys for children and Center supplies, allow the CAC to provide supplementary resources to clients and to fund our educational outreach to the community. On your first visit, you’ll be asked to designate your preferred charity and proceed to shop as usual. Amazon will then donate .5 percent of the cost of your purchase. Throughout the year, the Center provides you an opportunity to honor someone dear to you at an important time in their life—a birthday, anniversary, significant life event or accomplishment, a holiday remembrance—or as a memorial to a family member, friend or associate. Your donation to the Center in their name makes the honoree part of a mission that has transformed so many lives and added measurably to the quality of life in our community. The Center will send an acknowledgment of your gift to the honoree or, in the case of a memorial, to the person’s family or other designee.
Through a charitable bequest in your will or similar planned giving, you can ensure that the Center will be able to sustain its work into the future. If you wish to include the Center in your estate plan, consult with your attorney to establish the method and inform the Center that your plan is in place, complete a short form of description and authorize us to list you on CAC’s Sustaining Legacies honor roll.
The Children’s Advocacy Center is a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization registered with the State of Texas and the United States Internal Revenue Service. Gifts to the Center are tax deductible, to the extent permitted by IRS law and regulations. Donors will be provided receipts for their cash donations and, where possible, for “in kind” donations.
