CAC services are provided free of charge to our clients.
The combined cost of providing those services—approximately $1 million–is sustained principally by annual allocations from the state through the Health and Human Services Commission and from the federal government through the Victims of Crime Act and by the Texas Attorney General’s Other Victim Assistance Grants. Further funding and in-kind support is provided by Bastrop, Lee and Fayette Counties and further by six cities in our service area: Bastrop, Elgin, Giddings, LaGrange, Schulenberg and Smithville.
Additional funding is provided by nongovernmental organizations: the Gibson Foundation, the Texas Women’s League, the Texas Center for the Judiciary, and Women of Courage (My Safe Place).
Essential to balancing our service driven and close-to-the-wire budget are donations by individual and civic groups, income from the Center’s public fundraising activities and financial and in-kind support by the business community and nonprofit entities.
We are deeply grateful for this support. Please contact the CAC office, at (512) 321-6164, to explore how your organization can help us fulfill our mission.
