It doesn't take much to let an abused child know that they've found safety and support. A warm coat, a new teddy bear, or a fresh notebook for school can make the difference between feeling alone at the holidays and knowing that they are part of a warm, loving community.
Each year, the Children's Advocacy Center helps hundreds of these children and their non-offending family members get through the winter by collecting their Wish Lists. We then share those needs with community members and families who shop for and wrap gifts that lift spirits, warm hearts and rekindle hope.
The Center serves hundreds of abused Bastrop, Lee and Fayette County children every year with care and compassion. You can join us in making this holiday special for them in one of these easy ways:

It's easy for your family, church, business or community group to adopt a Wish List child or family. We'll send you their pre-screened Wish List, with items, sizes and all the details you'll need to help make a neighbor's holidays a little bit brighter. Gift cards are also welcome. VOLUNTEER
There's nothing more fun than unwrapping a holiday gift chosen just for you...unless it's wrapping and giving that perfect gift! Join volunteers during the day or one night after work to wrap donated gifts in cheerful holiday paper and bows. Limited spots available. Even if your schedule for the holidays is already full, you can still help! Financial donations and gift cards help Center staff make sure that every Wish List child or family gets a bit of holiday cheer. Mail your tax-deductible donation to the Children's Advocacy Center, 1002 Chestnut Street, Bastrop, TX 78602 or drop it off during business hours at the Center, located in the sweet Victorian house at 1002 Chestnut Street in Bastrop.
